PLA is one of the key materials in the NORE world because it allows crisp geometry, clear ribbing, and a refined printed surface. In many of our lamps, it helps preserve the designer's form while keeping the glow soft and the object visually calm.

PETG can offer a different balance of resilience, translucency, and finish behavior. We use materials in context - not as generic defaults, but as part of how a lamp should feel in a room and how light should move through it.

  • Source: Corn starch and sugar cane (bio-based)
  • Compostability: Industrial composting conditions (EN 13432)
  • Safe operating temperature: Up to 60°C / 140°F continuous
  • Bulb compatibility: LED only (E26, max 10W)
  • Finish: Matte, warm light diffusion, slight natural layer texture
  • UV sensitivity: Avoid prolonged direct sunlight
  • Care: Dry cloth only, no solvents

PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol)

  • Impact resistance: Higher than PLA — better for structural elements
  • Moisture resistance: Better than PLA
  • Translucency: Slightly more translucent than PLA
