Two plastics
Each lamp is printed in whichever plastic suits its shape. Its product page tells you which one.
Polylactic acid
What it is
A plastic made from fermented plant starch, such as corn or sugarcane.
Bio-based?
Yes. It's made from plants, not oil.
Heat
Starts to soften around 60 C (140 F).
When it's done
Can be composted only in industrial facilities, not a home compost bin. Most curbside recycling doesn't take it.

Polyethylene terephthalate glycol
What it is
A tough, slightly flexible plastic from the same family as water-bottle plastic (PET).
Bio-based?
No. It's made from oil.
Heat
Handles more heat: softens around 80 C (175 F).
When it's done
Not compostable. Most curbside recycling doesn't take 3D-printed PETG.

Why LED only

Dimming
On/off switch on the cord. To dim, use a smart E26 LED bulb. Check your selected bulb option or order confirmation for the included bulb.
Care

Use a soft, dry brush or a microfibre cloth. A puff of air clears dust between ribs.

No alcohol, solvents or glass cleaner. They can cloud or weaken the plastic.

Away from radiators, heaters, hot cars and sunny windowsills behind glass.

Switch off and unplug before cleaning or changing the bulb.
