NORE is not a store.
It's an edit.
A design publisher for light.
Born in Seattle. Printed to order.
A design publisher
for light.
NORE was born from a simple realization: the digital world is full of incredible lighting designs that never make it into the physical realm.
We operate as a design publisher, collaborating with digital artists and independent studios to transform their virtual concepts into tangible, 3D-printed objects.
Our studio in Seattle serves as both a laboratory and a gallery - every lamp we publish is selected because it deserves to exist as a physical object.
(What NORE makes)
Sculptural 3D-printed table lamps designed for warm ambient interiors.
(How NORE works)
We license work from independent designers and produce each piece to order in Seattle.
(Why it matters)
The result is lighting that feels more original, more considered, and less anonymous than mass-market decor.

Production
Printed, not
manufactured
Every NORE lamp is produced using additive manufacturing - building each object layer by layer, using only the material needed. No molds. No excess.

Studio Culture
Unlike industrial printing that prioritizes speed, our approach allows for more complex geometries and unique surface textures. Each print takes up to 48 hours.
We exclusively use bio-based or recycled polymers. Our PLA is derived from corn starch and sugar cane - renewable resources that biodegrade under industrial composting conditions.
Our studio runs a fleet of modified FDM printers, each calibrated for lighting fabrication - optimized layer heights for light diffusion and custom cooling profiles.
Printed with purpose.
Bio-based Materials
PLA and PETG from corn starch and sugar cane. Renewable, low-impact, compostable.
Zero Overproduction
Every lamp is made to order. No unsold inventory, no waste.
Low-Velocity Process
Slower printing allows complex geometries and unique surface textures. Up to 48 hrs per piece.
LED-Only Design
Engineered exclusively for LED bulbs - 80% less energy than incandescent.
To bridge the gap between speculative digital design and the intimate warmth of a lived-in home.
Curated
We don't sell everything. We publish the objects that redefine light.
Printed
Every piece is made-to-order in our studio, reducing waste and ensuring soul.
Lived
NORE objects are designed to be used, touched, and experienced daily.

Everything you might wonder, answered simply.
Do you ship internationally?
+
Free ground shipping is included on eligible orders within the United States. For international shipping availability and rates, contact hello@nore.design before ordering.
How are NORE lamps produced?
+
Each object is 3D-printed in our Seattle studio using bio-based polymers (PLA and PETG). We use additive manufacturing - building layer by layer - which produces zero mold waste and allows for complex organic geometries impossible with traditional methods.
Are your lamps sustainable?
+
Sustainability is core to our practice. Our materials are derived from renewable plant sources. Every lamp is made to order, eliminating overstock waste. And our local production model cuts global shipping emissions from the manufacturing process.
Which materials define your collection?
+
We primarily work with bio-based PLA and PETG. PLA is derived from renewable resources such as corn starch and sugar cane. Both materials are selected for structural integrity, light diffusion, and suitability for precise small-batch fabrication.
What light sources are compatible?
+
All NORE lamps use standard E26 LED bulbs. We include a warm LED bulb with every lamp. For the best experience, we recommend LED bulbs rated CRI 90+ at 2700K or lower.
Why does each lamp look slightly different?
+
Every lamp is individually 3D-printed over the course of up to 48 hours. Small surface variations and texture details are inherent to the additive process - they're part of what makes each piece unique, not a defect.
Do you accept custom commissions?
+
While we prioritize our curated editions, we are open to limited customization for specific projects. Reach out with your vision for a tailored light object.
